Common questions, troubleshooting, and how to reach a human.
Place 3 structures in your city. The first squirrel will arrive shortly after — they'll appear near one of the things you've built and start exploring.
About 1 in-game day per real-time minute. Squirrels age at that pace, mood and hunger drift hourly, and seasons rotate every 7 in-game days.
Long-press on the structure. After about half a second it disappears. Note: your first structure is the "Founder's Plot" and is permanent — it can't be removed.
Each trait shifts mood differently. Anxious squirrels tend to drift lower, Romantic ones higher. They also lose mood when hungry, when a friend passes, or when there's tension with another squirrel. Pet them or feed them to bring it back up.
Their traits do most of the work. Two Romantic squirrels are likely to fall for each other. A Hoarder and a Generous squirrel will probably clash over the acorn pile. Once they've lived together for at least 2 in-game days, the journal will note their bond when they cross thresholds.
A small wooden memorial appears at the spot where they were last seen, with a glowing acorn cap. It's permanent — your city remembers them. Tap the memorial any time to see who they were. The other squirrels mourn briefly and remember them in their memories.
